Well, i know the hotel ment well, and probably in their heads, they think everythings amazing. The truth of the matter of fact is the rooms technology (i pads for the controls for everything in the room) is just not pratical. The light switch instead of off and on. You have to be an engineer too. Understand pushing the buttons. It actually gets very frustrating after a while.
I know they tried their best to make the room high tech. But it's just supposed to be functional, not complicated. Everything else in that hotel is perfect. The restaurants are perfect, but no it is not cheap. Bring a large size wallet $$$$.
I would definitely stay there again. The restaurants are literally almost catty corner. Highly recommend rosebuds for italian food. It's no more than two hundred feet from the front door of the hotel.

Always a pleasure to be taken care of at The Pen Chicago. The Christmas decorations were fantastic and they have free candy shop open for the kids after 3:00.
The hotel was packed and it was nice to see Michigan Avenue Chicago back to a safe place

Extremely friendly and accomadative staff in luxurious surrounding. The hotel was meticulously decorated for Christmas. As always there are very many places to shop and eat and look at within a short walk.
