Information About Cikuray Train

The Cikuray train is an economy-class train service from PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) on the Pasar Senen-Garut Station route. This Cikuray train travels on the west coast of Java. PT KAI took the name of this train itself from Mount Cikuray. Please note Mount Cikuray is a conical volcano in Garut Regency, West Java. 

For your information, the Cikuray Train was launched on March 25, 2022. Meanwhile, this launch was only a day after PT KAI launched the revitalized Garut Station. Initially, the Cikuray Train was scheduled on the 2021 Railway Travel Schedule with the Garut-Gambir route service and vice versa. However, in its development, the Cikuray Train route was changed to the Pasar Senen - Gambir.

Meanwhile, the distance of the Cikuray Train with the Pasar Senen-Garut Station route or vice versa reaches 245 kilometers. Due to the long distance, the travel time of the Cikuray Train with the Pasar Senen - Garut Station route is 5 hours 10 minutes. 

On the other hand, The Cikuray Train takes 6 hours and 5 minutes to travel from Garut to Pasar Senen Station. It travels once daily, both on the Pasar Senen-Garut Station and Garut-Pasar Senen Station routes.

Class Availability of Cikuray Train

As previously mentioned, the Cikuray Train provides the economy class only. As for information, the train set of the Cikuray Train uses the Ministry of Transportation's Economy Plus Train, which originated from the former Bogowonto Train. The Cikuray train numbers are 267A and 268A.

The Cikuray Train has 2-2 seating with fixed seats. The Cikuray train, on both the Pasar Senen - Garut Station and the Garut - Pasar Senen Station routes, stops to pick up and drop off passengers at several major stations in the Jakarta Operational Area 1 such as Karawang, Bekasi, and Cikampek Station.

Detailed Information About Cikuray Train

The Cikuray train has seven economy cars with 560 seats. Each has an average of 80 seats. Despite being an economy class, the facilities in it are quite comprehensive. It has luggage racks, a dining car, air conditioning, and toilets. 

As mentioned earlier, the Cikuray Train departs once a day, on both the Pasar Senen Station - Garut and the Garut - Pasar Senen Station route. As for the Garut - Pasar Senen Station route, it departs at 6.30 am with an estimated arrival at 12.35 pm. On the other hand, the route from Pasar Senen Station to Garut departs at 5:40 pm and is estimated to arrive at 10:50 pm.
