Dharmawangsa Train (KA Dharmawangsa) is a passenger train service operated by Indonesian Railways (KAI). It offers economy and executive classes and runs from Pasar Senen Station to Surabaya Pasarturi Station, covering the North Coast of Java (Pantura).
The Dharmawangsa train officially started operating on December 2, 2019, at Pasar Senen Station. The launch was led by Edi Sukmoro, the CEO of PT Kereta Api Indonesia, after implementing the 2019 Gapeka (Train Journey Graphics) travel schedule. Initially, the Dharmawangsa train used the train set from the Brantas train, which was not used, and then switched after arriving at Pasar Senen Station.
The name "Dharmawangsa" is derived from Dharmawangsa Teguh, the last king of the Medang Kingdom, who reigned from 991 to 1007. Dharmawangsa Teguh was the son and successor of Makutawangsawardhana, the previous ruler of the Medang Kingdom, who ruled from 985 to 990.

The Dharmawangsa train offers two classes for passengers based on their needs: economy class and executive class. Each class has different supporting facilities, accompanied by different ticket prices.

1. Passenger Capacity
A set of Dharmawangsa trains comprises one locomotive of type CC201/CC203. Additionally, there are 3 carriages available for executive class (K1 BL), 1 carriage for the dining power generator, and 6 carriages for economy class with air conditioning (K3 BL).
Each carriage of the Dharmawangsa train has 50 seats for the executive class, arranged in a 2-2 seating configuration. On the other hand, the carriages for the economy class have 80 seats with a 2-2 seating arrangement.

Each train set of Dharmawangsa is equipped with standard facilities such as air conditioning, toilets, soundproofing, emergency brakes, and lightweight fire extinguishers. The seating arrangement in the economy class is the same as the executive class, with a 2-2 configuration. However, the seats in this class do not have a revolving or reclining feature. Other facilities in the economy class include a small table, power outlets, and duplex glass observation windows with a fan.
In contrast to the economy class, the seats in the executive class are equipped with the convenience of revolving and reclining features. Passengers can recline their seats at any time for a more comfortable journey.
Furthermore, the executive class offers a rotary seat feature, allowing passengers to rotate their seats to face the back. This makes it a suitable choice for passengers traveling in groups.

The Dharmawangsa train departs from Pasar Senen Station at 08:40 AM and arrives at Surabaya Pasar Turi Station at 07:41 PM. Meanwhile, KA 131 departs from Surabaya Pasar Turi Station at 10:30 PM and arrives at Pasar Senen Station at 09:01 AM the next day.
