Tigaraksa Station (TGS) is a large class C train station serving only the KRL Commuter Line. Although named Tigaraksa, this station is not located in the Tigaraksa area but only in the southwest of the sub-district. It is situated in Cikasungka Village, Solar District, Tangerang, Banten.

This station connects the previous station, Tenjo Station, with the next station, Cikoya Station. KRL Lintas Rangkasbitung serves passengers who use this station in the Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung relationship.

Its operating hours, even 24 hours a day, make this station so much needed by the community. The first KRL will depart at the departure of the day at 00:01 AM, while the last KRL departure is at 11:56 PM.

The facilities at Tigaraksa Station are currently very complete, including customer service. 1. Once used for long-distance trains

Before it was used to serve KRL usage as it is now, Tigaraksa Station was used for long-distance trains. Local train trips at that time consisted of Krakatau, Kalimaya, Banten Ekspres, and Rangkas Jaya.

This station was also initially only a small station that continued to be built and electrified in 2012. Up until April 2017, KRL Commuter Line trips took the place of all long-distance trains.

At the same time, the Krakatau train was renamed the Singasari train, with the destination Pasar Senen-Blitar. Then, in early February 2021, Tigaraksa Station was used as the starting point for the departure of KRL for the Tanah Abang-Tigaraksa route.

2. Does not match the name of the place

Although less popular than Parung Panjang or Serpong stations, Tigaraksa Station has a relatively large number of passengers. The famous Tigaraksa name of this station has been attached since it was built in 1996 even though it does not match the name of the location.

This station is located in the Solar Sub-district, while the Tigaraksa Sub-district is still a dozen kilometers away. This sometimes causes new passengers to fail to understand, especially if using public transportation. 

Therefore, pay close attention when filling in the destination point to avoid getting off the wrong way. Because if you have already gotten off wrong, you must take another transportation and add costs and travel time.
