Information About Kuala Stabas Train
Kuala Stabas Train (also known as Kereta Api Kuala Stabas) is a premium economy-class passenger train service under PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero). It is included in the Operational Area (DAOP) IV Tanjungkarang on the island of Sumatra.
This train serves the Tanjungkarang-Baturaja PP route. Before operating for the Tanjungkarang-Baturaja Station route, this train set was operated for the Mantab Premium cross with the Madiun-Pasar Senen PP route.
The name of the Kuala Stabas Train is taken from the port in the Krui area, West Pesisir Regency, Lampung Province. This train operated for the first time on June 11, 2018, as support for Lebaran transportation that year.
Initially, the Kuala Stabas Train operated only one round trip a day and stopped at certain stations, namely Rejosari Station, Kotabumi Station, Blambangan Umpu Station, and Martapura Station.
However, since removing the Seminung and Way Umpu trains on the Tanjung Karang-Kotabumi track, the Kuala Stabas Train officially operates twice for a round trip in one day. It stops at all stations on the track, including Ketapang Station and Way Tuba Station, on December 1, 2019.
This means that the train operates four times a day. Meanwhile, since February 10, 2021, the Kuala Stabas Train passes directly or does not stop at several stations, including Gedungratu Station, Branti Station, Rengas Station, Blambangan Pagar Station, Kalibalangan Station, and Candimas Station.
Class Availability of Kuala Stabas Train
Kuala Stabas Train offers one type of class for general passengers: the premium economy for the newest class as a rejuvenation of the previous economy class.
The rule of seats for the premium economy class is that some seats are facing the speed of the train and some face in the opposite direction, with the seats in the middle area of the van facing each other.
