Established in 1884, Bandung Hall Station was listed as one of the oldest train stations in Indonesia, and became the first station in the country to implement a ticket and check-in system similar to airport check-in. At present, the official operator of Bandung Station is PT. KAI (Persero) Daop 2 Bandung. Since October 2018, the station has also implemented a baggage inspection system using X-rays.
