Based on data recorded by the West Java Transportation Service, there are currently 12 train stations in Bandung. However, 5 of them are inactive. The inactive stations in Bandung are Bandung Gudang Station, Buahbatu Station, Cibangkong Station, Cibangkolor Station, and Kavaleri Station.

Apart from the inactive stations, two stations are active but do not serve boarding and alighting passengers. The first one is Andir Station, located in Operation Area II Bandung, which functions solely as a signal house to control train movement. 

The second one is Gedebage Station, situated in Cisaranten Kidul, Gedebage, Bandung, a particular station for goods. There are also two commuter line stations operated by KAI Commuter, namely Cikudapateuh Station and Ciroyom Station.

1. Bandung Station

Bandung Station (BD) is a big train station Type A in Kebonjeruk–Andir. It has two entrances. the North Gate at Jl. Kebon Kawung No.43 and the South Gate at Jl. Stasiun Timur No. 1. Bandung Station is also known as Hall Station and is in Operation Area II Bandung.

Bandung Station has many facilities, including a parking area, waiting room, ticket machines, information center, mosque, toilets, health post, ATM gallery, shopping area, restaurants, nursing room, smoking area, escalators, and a VIP lounge. As the biggest station in Bandung, it connects Bandung with other cities in Java.

Getting to Stasiun Bandung is easy. You can use transportation options such as Trans Metro Bandung, public minivans (angkots), taxis, and online motorcycle taxis/taxis.

2. Kiaracondong Station

Kiaracondong Station (KAC) is a large Type B railway station in Bandung City. It is situated between the Babakansari and Kebonjayanti neighborhoods. Operation Area II Bandung and KAI Commuter manage the station.

Kiaracondong Station serves economy-class intercity trains that travel to the southern region of Java. It offers various facilities, including parking, a waiting area, ticket reservation at the counter, toilets, disabled access, a health post, an ATM gallery, a nursing room, a children's play area, and a smoking area.

To reach Kiaracondong Station, you can take public minibuses (angkots) from different Bandung areas. Taxis and online motorcycle taxis are also available.

3. Cimindi Station

Cimindi Station (CMD) is a train station in Campaka, Andir, Bandung. Situated in the western part of the city, it is the nearest station to Husein Sastranegara Airport.

The station offers various facilities such as parking, a waiting area, a ticket counter, an information center, a prayer room, toilets, and a mobile phone charging station. The public transportation that passes through Cimindi Station is the angkots (public minibus) of Kota Cimahi, specifically route number 24.

Arrival Station in Garut

Garut Station (GRT) is a Class II railway station in Pakuwon, Garut Kota, Garut. It belongs to Operation Area II Bandung and connects the main southern line in Java and Garut City.

The station was temporarily closed in 1983 but was later reopened as part of the railway reactivation program initiated by the Ministry of Transportation. Garut Station offers various facilities, including parking, a waiting area, a self-ticketing machine, ticket counters, customer service, an information center, a prayer room, toilets, a healthcare center, ATM centers, shops, and a breastfeeding room.

Detailed Travel Information from Bandung to Garut

The travel time from Bandung Station to Garut Station is approximately 1 hour and 52 minutes. The Cikuray train offers the only ticket available for this route, priced at Rp45,000.

Before reaching Bandung Station, the train passes through Cikudapateuh Station, and after Bandung Station, it stops at Andir Station. On the other hand, before reaching Garut Station, the train passes through Wanaraja Station. The only departure time from Bandung Station for the Bandung-Garut route is at 08.58 PM, and the ticket price for the Cikuray train is Rp45,000.
