Tawang Station is the largest station in the city of Semarang. The name is derived from the name of a nearby village, Tawangsari. Officially in operation since 1868, the Tawang Station became the oldest major railway station in Indonesia after Semarang Gudang Station.The station is located only about 5 kilometers from the city center, exactly on Jalan Taman Tawang No. 1, Tj.
