A very nice place, if you go to Jogja, don't forget to stop by here, even though Borobudur is in the Magelang area, the beauty is very, very good.

Friendly staff helped with ticket exchange info, when heading to the temple there was a pick-up car, because our tickets were cheap so we only went around the temple, the museum was always crowded because at that time it coincided with school holidays.

no need to queue when entering because you just scan the barcode from the online ticket that we bought, there are also neat UMKM traders arranged and there are many choices. nice and comfortable

Purchasing the ticket was easy enough through Traveloka. However, we were disappointed with the whole experience, as being foreign visitors the tickets cost 380,000 IDR each. This only covered entrance to the grounds, so we could not enter the temple, just walk around its base. We did not have the option to purchase tickets to climb the temple on the day - I believe due to the fact they only issue a certain quota each day. Sadly we found this very poor value for money, and the whole experience left us disappointed.

A must visit, especially for Indonesian citizens. Because Borobudur Temple is one of the 7 wonders of the world & its location is not far from all of us in Indonesia 👍🏼.

the temple has been beautifully restored and maintained. However it lacks atmosphere as the Buddhist monks are only allowed early morning so you don't see them and so it feels like a museum . If they left you to explore alone it would be better. the Muslim guide knows little about Buddhism . An amazing old temple with wonderful statues . Pity it's been made so clinical and not spiritual.
