Beautiful villa & location. Well maintained. The room was larger than expected. Excellent dinners in the restaurant. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars ... mosquitos! We were there during the time that AC was shut off. No problem. We opened the windows & the room was comfortable. Unfortunately we should not have left them open. During the night we were food for mosquitoes. The grounds are green & lush & beautiful & of course in the evening is prime for biting bugs. I would strongly suggest screening of some type over the window opening to prevent guests from being bitten. Will definitely add bug repellent to my packing list. Despite the bites, I would recommend this hotel.

I went as part of a tour group. While we all paid the same some rooms were 3-room suites, some had amazing vistas. My room was tiny, dark, over the kitchen (noisy), looking at a wall a couple meters away. The shower was like a phonebox. The cupboard smelled of mouse wee. They wouldn't change my room. Food and wine were very good on most days.

Don't be fooled by the photos, the rooms are average & of questionable cleanliness and hygiene.

The hotel is in a historical building in the middle of historic center of Trevi. The furnitures are classic keeping the building soul. All comforts are in the hotel and the breakfast is plentiful. We had a dinner in the hotel restaurant and the plates are very tasteful, the service has to get better.

Booked as part of a tour package but stuck into an apartment in one of their out buildings. As you walk in you are overwhelmed by the musty odor of decaying books and furniture. Inside the apartment is the opposite of old world charm. There is an old collection of items such as a couch in the kitchen. The very underpowered AC strains to keep the temp below 80. The windows have no screens. The kitchen cabinets are barren of all cups and any other needed item. A piece of plywood that rocks when you step on it marks the entrance to the bathroom. Probably you could stay anywhere else and find better hospitality at half the price.
