The Duty Manager named Fira—whether she is the only one handling that WhatsApp number or not—is, regardless, extremely incompetent.
1. Very annoying. It was clear that I did not request laundry service, yet she still contacted me asking if I wanted to have my laundry done.
2. I very clearly had the Do Not Disturb (DND) sign on, which obviously means I do not want to be disturbed. Yet I was still contacted asking whether I wanted the room cleaned. The DND sign was up—it couldn’t have been clearer.
3. I lost an item, but my WhatsApp message was just read and ignored. When there’s a problem, she disappears.
What kind of professionalism is this?
To make matters worse, I found out that my bedsheets hadn’t been changed for 4 days. They were just flipped over to the other side.
How did I know? Because I accidentally spilled a drink, leaving a small stain. When I returned to my room that night, I saw the room had been tidied, but the bedsheets and bedcover were not changed.
It made me wonder—when guests check out, do they even really change the sheets and bed covers?
I doubt it—especially considering the fact that I now have small bite marks on parts of my body, as if from some tiny bugs in the bed :)
