We discovered another breathtaking view of Lake Toba.
The journey from Pematang Siantar took about two hours, with plenty of interesting stops along the way. We passed through scenic routes where you can enjoy fresh durian at Sidamanik, the Babutong tea gardens around you, relax at cozy coffee shops, and savor sweet mangoes Parapat/Udang
When we finally arrived, Lake Toba stretched out beautifully right in front of the hotel. You can swim either in the hotel pool or jump straight into the lake itself — both options are refreshing!
The cool, fresh air instantly lifted our spirits and made us feel completely at ease.
At the hotel’s restaurant, I ordered Nasi Goreng and Bandrek. The food was pretty good, and the fried cassava was especially tasty. However, I later noticed that the restaurant also served alcohol, which was a bit disappointing for us.
Our two rooms were located very close to the lake, giving us stunning views. The downside was that they were quite far from the parking area, and we had to go down a lot of steps. Thankfully, the hotel providing a wheelchair for my mother, which made things much easier.
One downside of staying here was the Wi-Fi, which was difficult to connect to, and the mobile signal was quite weak. Occasionally, the electricity would also cut off for a while.
Overall, the stay was enjoyable, but the room rates were quite high compared to other options like Marinna, Labersa Samosir, or even the Niagara Hotel.
