Despite not staying in the main hotel and alternatively having to climb many steps to the room and with luggage it can be hard the room itself was a joy and a treat. Decorated tastefully in the locale flavor and the view of the sea and having the large patio was nice. Breakfast was very plentiful. service welcoming and very hospitable towards all the guests to make sure the stay was pleasurable.

My husband and I came to the Cinque Terre during our honeymoon. We found Locanda a Ca du Gigante on hotels.com and decided to stay in the suite. Note that the suites are not at the main hotel, but instead in an apartment building(?) a 5-minute, winding walk away. (We actually got lost trying to find it again later, and no one picked up when we called the # listed on the door to call after hours. Thankfully we found it again eventually.) The room itself was beautiful and spacious enough for 2 people. High tech- automatic switch for closing curtains/ sun shades. The bathroom looked newly renovated and nice, though some things were more decorative than functional. (Ex: not much space to put toiletries.) The hostess (Lauria?) was nice but did not reply to all my messages on WhatsApp, so we sometimes felt in the dark about things. She was able to communicate well in English. The breakfast given was amazing though- it included fresh breads, croissants, cakes, fruit, yogurt, cured meats, boiled eggs, cheese, & honey. In a beautiful dining room.

Great hospitality

We loved our stay at Locanda a ca di Gigante. The staff are very welcoming and efficient, the location is excellent and the rooms are very clean. The breakfast was excellent - ask for the scrambled eggs !

We only stayed for one night but really enjoyed it. Isabella gave us a bunch of helpful info and the breakfast in the morning was amazing. Would stay here again

Claudia, our host. Was extremely friendly, greeted us when we arrived, give information about the area, slso greeted us for breakfast. My wife and i had a wonderful time. The room was great, very clean and house keeping was great as well. They provided us with beach towels as requested. Definitely will recommend this place.

The staff is incredible! They were so helpful, kind and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. They provided us beach towels and a restroom to use after we checked out so we could freshen up. They even kept the buffet open for us one morning when we were running behind. Highly recommend. It also is a great location!

We really enjoy our stay at Locanda A Cà Du Gigante. The room was excelent. Modern and spacious. Steps away from the monterosso beach. Staff was very graceful and helpful. Would definitely recomend.

The location was great, the room was clean and air conditioning was awesome in the August heat. But what stood out the most about this hotel was the hospitality. The hosts of the hotel absolutely took care of us. They helped me out with a mistake I made on my booking, were classy and welcoming at the lovely hosted breakfast, and assisted us in saving money with the Cinque Terre card. We also left a special keepsake behind, and one of these fantastic women went above and beyond to make sure I received it back. Their hospitality is unmatched.

Wrong name, correct name is a’ cu’ du Gigante, Expedia! The property doesn’t have all the rooms at their location. They are spread out near and around the office within walking distance to office and beach. We had Gigante room and it was big (by European standards) hence for the the name. Breakfast was nice on property. They offer you beach towels too. Claudia the receptionist was wonderful! The room was cold. The balcony was lovely. And yes it is around the corner from the Giant attached to a side of a castle or home on the mountain side. Easily visible when you turn down the street to the office. Our room was one block over up hill up stairs. There is no lifts or elevators. One suggestion maybe an outdoor shower head or hose to rinse before going into room would help the cleaning crew from having to pick up the sand in our room. We did rinse off at beach but that just wasn’t enough. Thank you so much for a beautiful stay. The breakfast crew was wonderful too!
