The most recommended hotel for history and museum seekers.
This is the only proper hotel that is walking distance from: the maritime museum, the Fatahillah museum, the old city, the BI museum, and the BNI museum. The cool thing is, this hotel knows its potential, so on weekends there is a free shuttle to the maritime museum. There are also free tours every day, morning and evening. You can see the schedule near the reception.
Another pro, this hotel uses a colonial building, the interior also follows suit. Really like the interior of the room with typical colonial moldings.
We, a family of 5, ordered twin beds and got 2 mattresses, each 100 cm wide and can be combined! Suitable for families. In the Dolce Gusto room, they use their own powder, honestly I don't like it huhu. What I like is definitely the freeflow mineral water dispensee.
The service is a bit slow though. I called to ask for 1 towel, no one came, so I got it myself from the housekeeping who was cleaning up the neighbor's room.
Another minus, this hotel has many properties that are not well maintained, for example the elevator whose calling program is crazy, it doesn't stop at the related floor, it's not called, not to mention the elevator's left end panel is almost about to come off, it's dangerous!
Now it's time for food.
There are wedang and proper coffee machines. There are 2 variants of real juice and concentrated juice.
Unfortunately, the protein is really lacking, it's only eggs and sausages. Then in the general buffet there's only soy sauce chicken and curry tofu. Please add more. What's even more disappointing is, even though the pastries and breads are quite good, there's NO CHEESE huhu. This is vital.
Even though the position is for tourists, they should put more local food. For example, egg crust, or other local menus. Please embrace local. Sad to only find green beans, marble cake, and lapis legit huhu.
Btw, Ms. Dina Desty is friendly. Come to the table.
Please read my comment. Thanks a lot!
