I stayed for one night at Hotel Maia Jakarta and overall had a good experience. I got a room without breakfast included, but I decided to try the additional breakfast for 150k/person. Unfortunately, the food selection was quite limited, and some dishes like pasta and porridge were a bit bland. The breakfast area itself felt cramped because there were too many tables and chairs, making it hard to move around comfortably.
On the bright side, the room was very nice—the color scheme was cute and created a cozy atmosphere. The lobby was also beautiful, and the security staff were very friendly, which gave a great first impression.
Another big plus is the location—the hotel is right in front of Thamrin City Mall (Thamcit), which is super convenient for shopping or grabbing a quick meal.
However, there were a few minor issues. The TV remote was difficult to use, and when I arrived, the bottled water in the room was empty, likely forgotten to be replaced. I called the front desk to request new bottles, but they didn’t deliver right away. It wasn’t until I called again later that evening that they finally brought the water to my room.
Overall, it’s a comfortable hotel with a great location and friendly staff. A few small improvements could make the stay even better, but it’s definitely a solid choice if you’re planning to explore the area.
