Advice for first timers. Make sure the weather is clear, check BMKG, take the left or middle position (facing the sea, not facing the temple) if you are lucky you will get a beautiful sunset

The performance itself is pretty good I would say. But the overall experience makes it less worthwhile. Partly with the additional temple entrance fee, and partly because the location is rather remote - it took 2 hours to get there from Kuta, make sure you include this in your accounting, and go very early so you can at least look around beforehand.

Too bad it rained during the show. The 1st and 2nd hour were combined. So I got soaked and couldn't enjoy it. It's better not to do it during the rainy season

Kecak Fire Dance is a traditional performance in the forms of dance, drama, and music. Held in Uluwatu Temple, specifically on top of a cliff facing the ocean at sunset time, the show is one of Bali's highlighted attractions and a cultural activity to add to your itinerary. However, you won’t find any musical instruments to accompany the show, yet the music is performed by 60 bare-chested men.
