Ayer Keroh is located on the outskirt of the capital city Bandaraya Melaka around 15 kilometers east of the town. However it is one of the main attractions in the state as it has a primary toll booth entry using the North – South Expressway.

The people of this city use Bahasa Melayu as their main form of communication. The people in this area consist of all the races such as Malay, Chinese and Indians. Therefore, this language is commonly known by all. Another language that is commonly used is English. These 2 languages help those of different background to communicate despite the differences.

How to Get There

By Car

Those who are driving may take the North – South Expressway from Kuala Lumpur towards Melaka. It is only 132 kilometers from the capital state. The driving time is only 1 hour and 30 minutes. Exit towards Ayer Keroh would be at Exit 231.

By Bus

There is no direct bus from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan in Kuala Lumpur to Ayer Keroh. Therefore visitors would need to take the bus to Bandaraya Melaka first then take the local bus of Melaka to head towards Ayer Keroh. The bus name is Panorama Melaka. There is a bus every hour and the time taken to reach Ayer Keroh is 1 hour and 30 minutes.

By Train

Recently built Electric Train Service towards the South Bound has incorporated a stop directly in Ayer Keroh. Therefore now, visitors can take the ETS and reach Ayer Keroh in less than an hour.

Melaka Zoo

This is the second largest zoo in Malaysia. It has a night safari that allows the visitors to see the life of the nocturnal animals in their natural habitat. Moreover it is very cheap with their tickets priced below than RM 30 for both locals and also foreigners.

This is a park that displays the many types of houses available in Malaysia. It varies from the type of house from Perlis all the way to Sabah. The houses also are of the actual sizes in the respective states.
