There are also express buses coming to Sungai Petani from all over the Peninsular of Malaysia and for those who come from Kuala Lumpur, the bus ticket starts from as low as RM 38 for a one-way trip. A bus trip to Sungai Petani will take about five to six hours, depending on the current traffic. All the express buses to Sungai Petani will stop at the Ukir Square Bus Express Terminal, which is just six kilometres away from the hotel and will take about fifteen minutes or so to reach it. The clock tower and its square have been one of the best public attractions in town. The clock tower will always chime on time and at nights, it will glow beautifully due to the lights that were installed on it. The square had just recently upgraded by the municipal council for the locals to enjoy. The Jam Besar & Dataran Zero Kilometer is located just under six kilometres away from the Emerald Puteri Hotel.
