Kuala Kubu Bharu Hot Springs is a landmark of a hot springs, a kind that is much lesser known compared to the more popular ones like Kerling and Hulu Tamu. Nonetheless this place still possesses its own charm that is hard to ignore. Located in the Taman Arif area of Kuala Kubu Bharu which is about ten minutes of driving from the town center and an hour and ten minutes away from the state capital of Shah Alam, the hot springs has only been discovered for about a decade ago and has been popular with the locals ever since.
Hulu Selangor District Council later begun beautifying the place by installing more facilities such as concrete pathway, gazebos and a few seats. This is part of their intention to capture the interest of people going to Fraser’s Hill who would then go through the Kuala Kubu Bharu town to drop by and enjoy the hot springs, especially given the fact that the water is crystal clear and have healing properties. In order to do so, they are making the entrance free and getting more budget in order to further develop the place. As of now, the place is already being visited by people and is said to have the potential to further surpass hot springs of Kerling and Hulu Tamu.
People driving from Kuala Lumpur may drive via Route 1 or North – South Expressway / E1 for an almost immediate access to Kuala Kubu Bharu Hot Springs. The journey could take up around one hour or so depending on the current traffic situation.
The train lines providing access to Kuala Kubu Bharu Hot Springs are the KTM Tanjung Malim coach line which stops at Kuala Kubu Bharu station. From the centralized KL Sentral station, take the train from the mentioned line and drop at Kuala Kubu Bharu station before opting for bus, taxi or alternative transport services to go to the said landmark.
There are no major express bus terminal around the area, but there are some bus stops in town while the closest one is in Rawang town. Take the trip directly to Rawang from Kuala Lumpur Pudu Sentral terminal using bus services such as Metrobus. From here, hop on a local route bus to Tanjung Malim and drop by the bus stops to reach Kuala Kubu Bharu Hot Springs.
Getting its name from Scottish pioneer Louis James Fraser, Fraser’s Hill is a renowned town and hill resort located 152 meters above sea level in the Titiwangsa Ridge in the district of Raub, state of Pahang, Malaysia.
