The Sepang International Circuit is a motorsport race track in Sepang, Selangor. It is located nearby the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and it takes approximately an hour driving distance from the Kuala Lumpur city centre. Sepang International Circuit reminds the Malaysians so much about the 4th Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr Mahathir Bin Mohamad. He officially inaugurated the circuit on 7 March 1999 followed by inaugurating the first Moto GP Malaysian Grand Prix on the April. Later in October, he also inaugurated the first Formula One Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix. Above all, the circuit is the venue used for the Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix, Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix, Malaysia Merdeka Endurance Race and other major motorsport events. It was designed by German designer Hermann Tilke, who would subsequently design F1 venues in Shanghai, Sakhir, Istanbul, Valencia and other places.
One most popular attraction in Sepang will definitely be Mitsui Premium Outlet. It is located about 6 kilometres away from KLIA and KLIA2. Those passengers who are waiting for flights, you can spend the hours by visiting MOP.
