About

Thailand, formerly known as Siam, boasts a rich and storied history that spans centuries. It is one of the few Southeast Asian countries that has never been colonized by Western powers, contributing to its distinct cultural heritage. The history of Thailand is characterized by the influence of various kingdoms, including the Sukhothai Kingdom, Ayutthaya Kingdom, and the current Chakri Dynasty, which has ruled since 1782. Each era has left its mark on Thailand's art, architecture, religion, and traditions.

The Sukhothai Kingdom (1238-1438) is celebrated for its establishment of Thai identity and governance principles, often referred to as the golden age of Thai civilization. The Ayutthaya Kingdom (1350-1767) expanded Thailand's influence across Southeast Asia and became a center of trade and culture, known for its impressive temples and palaces. The Chakri Dynasty, which began with the establishment of Bangkok as the capital, has seen Thailand evolve into a modern nation while preserving its cultural roots.

The staff couldn't speak English and they look so angry, I don't know why they can work in hospitality field with that attitude. All of the amenities in the room were pretty old, making the experience sick. Really far from all the tourist destinations.

R1 Nimman Hotel Chiangmai
Very generous hotel with an affordable price! The room are clean, quite spacious, the only problem was the positioning of the lamp (hangin in front of the only big mirror in my room). They give free popcorns and drinks to their guest for free, and my family really loves it. The receptionist are great too, we have such a wonderful experience staying in this hotel.
