It was a brief stay on my way to take my eldest back to her ‘pondok’ … and parting with her has never been easy. Thanks to very kind and helpful staff members who assisted since I arrived (after 5hrs of traffic jams) up until I had a difficult time ordering a taxi to go to the train station after I checked out. Oh plus the superb Iga Bakar as my super late dinner, a room service menu delivered in a blink. All that makes it a very comforting transit, I must say!

I love the breakfast that they are served, it has various menus and it has good taste. Also, The staff over there is friendly. Grand HAP maybe is not a big hotel but the facilities is very complete, there are swimming pool, fitness center and spa. I would stay in Grand HAP if I visit solo again.

I can recommend this hotel for you, this hotel is good, it's new hotel by swissbel, so no issues with facilities. The main thing is this hotel is clean and cheap. If I come to solo again, I will stay here again. The minus from this hotel is I can hear the voice of other guest from the next door, not that clearly but it's enough from me to know what they do.

Rumah Batu Boutique Hotel
I stayed at room 201. This room has poor water drainage at its shower room. When we got shower, the water was flooding with foam on it from shampoo or soap. It took more than 5 minutes for the water went down. The location is not really far from the city. However the access to the city is quite challenging because the street has only 2 lines (narrow) and busy.

WARISAN Heritage Boutique Hotel
Definitely an underrated hotel in the area. The structures have traditional touch that makes you feel you're staying at a local village. The garden is lush green, but very aesthetically arranged. The atmosphere is very quiet, perfect for those who wants to avoid buzzling city life. The pool's water is very well maintained. Breakfast is perfect, lots of traditional javanese, which well preparedl, kudos to the chef. The staffs are polite and friendly. The only downside is difficulty to find public transportation, but it's a fair trade with the vibes that the hotel has. Definitely will return here on my next trip to Surakarta

The room is so pretty and clean. I like the interior design. Looks like mini studio apartments because there are mini kitchen, sink, refrigerator, microwave, and kitchen appliances for use. Really worth it and I love it. The location is behind 2 mall, so you will get the food easily.
