HOW ESIM WORKS

An eSIM is an industry-standard digital SIM that allows you to activate a cellular plan from your carrier without having to use a physical SIM. You can install eSIM and use your physical SIM at the same time.

HOW TO ACTIVATE THE ESIM PURCHASED ON TRAVELOKA?

After purchase on Traveloka, your eSIM needs to be activated before use. To activate your eSIM, visit the redemption website by CLICKING ON THIS LINK.

On the website, input your email and the voucher ID found on your Traveloka voucher.

After you input the above information, a unique QR code will be sent to your email by Gohub. Please note that there is only 1 QR code for every eSIM you book. Each QR code is valid for 30 days from the redemption date.

Scan the unique QR code to activate your eSIM. Make sure that you are connected to WiFi before scanning the QR code.

Please note that the QR code on your Traveloka voucher cannot be used to activate the eSIM. To activate the eSIM, you have to scan the unique QR code sent to your email by Gohub.

QR CODE ACTIVATION GUIDE

FOR iOS

Step 1: Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data)

Step 2: Choose Add eSIM or Add Cellular Plan

Step 3: Choose Use QR Code

Step 4: Scan the below QR or tap Enter Details Manually and enter the activation code if you can not use your device to scan your QR. You can also choose Open Photos to upload the image of the QR code

Step 5: Click Next to finish the activation

Step 6: Upon arrival at your destination, turn on Data Roaming and Cellular Data to start using the internet (Note: Do not enable Data roaming beforehand to prevent early activation of the eSIM)

*Note:

The period of your eSIM validity will start from the moment you activate it on your device.

Only IOS 17 and above allows users to open QR codes from “Photos”

FOR ANDROID

Step 1: Go to Settings > Connections

Step 2: Choose Add eSIM

Step 3: Choose Use QR Code

Step 4: Scan the below QR or tap Enter Details Manually and enter the activation code if you can not use your device to scan your QR. Besides, you can upload the image of QR code

Step 5: Click Next to finish the installation

Step 6: Upon arrival at your destination, turn on Data Roaming and Cellular Data to start using the internet (Note: Do not enable Data roaming beforehand to prevent early activation of the eSIM)

*Note:

The period of your eSIM validity will start from the moment you activate it on your device.

Only Samsung Galaxy S20 (and above) and some Android Phones allow users to upload QR image to set up eSIM.

I went to Yunnan from Shangrila to Kunming but it was weak. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. FB and Instagram were both slow. Tiktok was also a no-go. Not very good.

Using esim is convenient, fast, no need to remember to put away the old sim. Easy to understand installation instructions. The network is OK and fast, but if anyone needs to use it a lot to look up maps or take pictures continuously, they should use several Gb/day, because 1gb/day is only enough to make calls on Zalo and take a few pictures :)))

I'm not gonna buy again ever. I wanted to purchase HongKong but apparently it didn't have the enough data for Hongkong option, then I chose China and Macau but it couldn't use. I tried to ask for customer service to change but they said no when i had no sim or wifi at Hongkong. Nah just don't fee like purchase from this brand anymore
