Once inside the hotel the check in, room, bed and cleanliness were fine. However, finding it and access were a nightmare. The entrance is set back from a busy road with no signs visible except immediately above its entrance. We drove past it 5 times before spotting it. We asked 3 different people where it was. They only had vague ideas which didn't help at all. Once spotted, there is nowhere to stop and wait while you take your luggage in and check in. We had to drive to the nearby Waitrose car park and walk our luggage back to the hotel in less than clement weather. This took two journeys, we don't travel light! Having gone out for the evening we again had to park at Waitrose and walk to the hotel. Fortunately their car park was free on Saturday evening and Sundays! When we checked out we complained that there was no mention of the access problems on the booking website and that it stated that limited parking was available. We were then told that we could get access to the large adjacent car park owned by the next building if we asked at the barrier to be allowed access to collect our luggage from the back door of the hotel. Much to our relief this worked. We didn't discover whether this procedure would work for checking in? Get this sorted Travelodge! Make the position clear on your booking sites.
