Right next to the cruise terminal which is very convenient. The view of the city and water is stunning from the front of the hotel. Staff were very welcoming and kind, and called us to follow up once we got to our room to check if we needed anything. The room was remarkable. From the high ceilings, giant windows, very upgraded bathroom and lighting. The bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on in all our travels. I didn't want to leave. Everything was so clean, I wondered if anyone had ever stayed before. This hotel exceeded expectations and if i could give higher than 5 stars i would. When in Rotterdam,stay here. You wont regret it.

Wonderful, a nice respite from the rain and cold. Spacious room with big windows looking out over the water. Best restaurant we have ever been to, great seafood, much history, charming

Anyone taking a cruise from Rotterdam..this is the hotel for you. Across the street from the terminal. Beautiful accommodations, excellent food both inside and outside... dining by the water, and wonderful staff. Water taxis are available right there and the hotel is filled with history from the early beginnings of Holland America Cruise Line.

Great property but the only thing was - we had a car and needed parking. Shocking 35 euros per night for parking. I can’t understand why the hotel don’t get it cheaper perhaps 20 euros per night would be more reasonable.
The hotel should negotiate with the parking operator hotel rates I think

Great location next to cruise terminal. Historic building that had been renovated into a hotel. Well done with lots of history preserved. Staff and restaurant were very nice. Would stay here again

The staff at Hotel New York was fantastic! From the call prior to arrival to the server at the cafe and then the excellent bartender at the Basement… it was all wonderful and would highly recommend to anyone! So glad we stayed there!

Lovely historical building, nice and spacious rooms, ok views as we were located towards the back of the building. Great location right next to a water taxi station, and minutes walk from erasmus bridge and tram stops.
The restaurant is definitely worrth visiting for a meal, a wonderful dinner with really friendly and attentive wait staff.
The not so greats - noisy location with building work going on next door and traffic.
Beds and pillows were not very comfortable, leaving us all with aching backs.
The cleaners made the beds, did a general tidy but did not clean. A lot of obvious debris on the floor was left, not ideal when you have young children crawling.

We stayed for two nights before our cruise. Great choice. The building used to be the main offices of the Holland America line until 1990s. The building is eclectic and has the vibe of nautical themes and an older building. The rooms and entire place are well designed and high end. Our room was spacious and comfortable and well decorated. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. The hotel outdoor dining was great and there are indoor dining options as well. Have the fish sampler for two people! Best of all the hotel is 300 m from the cruise port. Great choice

A unique quirky historical hotel but not as luxurious as the price per night would hint at. Rooms are small. Dinner food and service in the basement exceptional. Breakfast very poor food and service. Lunch a little better. Amazing views of Rotterdam and its river traffic.

Very unique hotel in fabulous location steps from the cruise terminal.
Be warned there is a flight of stairs from the street to the lobby with no elevator.
