After the day before to Bukit Pantai Parangtritis, Bukit Paralayang, Obelix, Obelix was badly congested, visitors got off the road by motorcycle taxi, luckily we rode a motorbike to avoid the traffic jam. This morning we explored the city, Pasar Ngasem was very full, the breakfast queue was very long, we got cendol thok, finally we moved to Taman Sari, eh it was still too early, tickets opened at 9, well we ended up waiting, but we were satisfied.

The place is okay and quite Instagrammable—a good spot for taking pictures. However, the entire site is spread out, with different areas located apart from one another. Because of that, there are many unofficial tour guides offering help to explore. As a first-timer, it can be quite a struggle to find each spot without a guide. Thankfully, Google Maps helped a lot!

The staff is friendly, the environment is also clean and comfortable, the place is nice with lots of photo spots. The location is easy to find and near Ngasem market so if you are hungry just stop by there.

the ticket is cheaper through traveloka because it is bundled with the palace and it is definitely more time efficient because the online ticket exchange is faster and there is no queue. for the Taman Sari itself, you should know the Taman Sari map so you don't get lost because it is in a village, but there are signs. for the palace, ticket exchange is combined, but it is still fast even though the queue is only 5 minutes. if you enter the palace, don't forget to follow the rules, because the officers are strict with the rules. two years ago I entered the palace and now there are many improvements and it is getting better, overall 9.5/10 because Jogja is very hot 🤣 (if you are hungry, you can eat baso tulmud Taman Sari 1000/10 because it is still cooked using areng)

if you don't use a tour guide, you will definitely get lost because it is conditioned to require a tour guide. the information board is unclear and conditioned to be unclear. here you must use a tour guide if you don't want to get lost.

1. There is no information whatsoever if you do not use a guide. 2. Many rooms are closed. 3. There are no directions if you want to go to the palace or the area around the park. 4. There are no directions to get out, so you have to use your instincts😅
