How to use JR Pass in Japan?
Upon receiving your Exchange Order (MCO), ensure to keep it safe and bring it with you to Japan. This Exchange Order (MCO) must be exchanged for the actual JR Pass at the JR Exchange Office within 90 days of booking.
At the JR Exchange Office, present your passport with Temporary Stamp, Exchange Order (MCO), and complete the form, indicating the date you intend to start using your JR Pass. Then you will receive the JR Pass and you can use it within the validity dates stated on the pass.
