If you are an Aviation Enthusiast or AVgeek you must try staying at this hotel. The hotel offers spectacular room views, which are directly opposite the BPN airport runway. We recommend that you stay upstairs or on the 4th floor, so you can point the camera at every plane that lands and takes off. When I wake up, I can easily find the helicopter lift off from my window. I think the Grand Tjokro Hotel offered something AVgeek's hard to resist. So to all AVgeek across Indonesia, you should try this hotel.✈️👍🏼🚁🤩

Close to the airport, the AC in the lobby is not felt, the AC in the room is cold and comfortable, the room is spacious, the floor is carpeted so it feels comfortable and homey. The breakfast is complete and delicious. So far, Grand Tjokro is one of the hotel choices when visiting Balikpapan 🙂

The hotel is close to the airport, from the room you can see planes passing by, it's quite exciting if you want to stare blankly at the planes, my child is also happy with the swimming pool and playground facilities, every Saturday morning there is foam play in the swimming pool so it makes the children excited. The menu in the restaurant is also very complete, the taste of the food is delicious and the choices are also varied. If I go to Balikpapan again, my child said he wants to stay at this hotel again. The staff are also all good, especially for matters of sending packages and food from ojol, thank you

The hotel staff is friendly, the toilet and room are clean, just a little musty smell. The view from the room is amazing, because the window faces the airport in the direction of arrival, so every hour you can see the planes arriving. This hotel also provides many paid game facilities for children, the swimming pool every weekend there is a balloon castle, there is 1 black rabbit roaming around the edge of the pool, cute.

I've stayed here several times and this time I'm disappointed. There's no minibar and when I first entered there were tissue marks on the table where the minibar was placed 😌 the air conditioner in the room wasn't cold enough even though the temperature was 18 degrees 😑 oh yeah when I just arrived in the afternoon there were 2 staff helping with parking, a security guard and 1 staff in a purple uniform, the security guard had properly parked my vehicle but the 1 staff was the one who was noisy scolding the security guard in front of us. Very unethical.

The hotel is kids friendly. The water and environment are clean and comfortable. Only the light right above the bed is dead...so we rely on the lighting from the entrance and bathroom...but overall it's okay...no problem
