We arrived at Crabbe Mountain Inn at about 3.30pm on 30/8 but the door of the guest entrance was locked and no one was inside. We waited till 4pm when a cooking lady showed up. She phoned the receptionist and finally a young man came at about 4.15pm. The promised check in time was 3pm, the host has breached the agreement.
When he showed us the room, we found it was small and untidy with no private bathroom. We declined to accept because it did not match the photos on the listing. We asked for a full refund but young man said we needed to go through Expedia, the booking agent, their computer system could not do that.
We left and booked another hotel. We contacted Expedia at night but the refund could not be done because the host refused.
We later check their listing again and found they did not mention "share bathroom " on the room we booked as many other hosts did. That's the point that made us confused.
As we did not use their service and they have broken their promise first, I could not see any reason for a refusal of refund.
