Great location, beautiful articheture, very nice room, loved the lobby bar, received early check in and late check out at no xtra charge, and the front desk folks were extremely nice and helpful.

You can't beat this location a block up from Union Square and several blocks from China Town. Right on the Trolley line adds to the charm of this gracious and impeccably restored historic hotel. Lots of restaurants around and felt safe. The beds were super comfortable and our room was quiet. The Starlight Bar on the top floor is amazing!

Convenient location. Beautiful lobby with interesting architecture. Nice roof top bar. Great cocktails. Friendly staff.
Small rooms with no closet or drawers. Resort fee will be added of $36 per room per night for WiFi and gym. Online states they have a pool and jacuzzi, they do not.
Please note that tip/service is included at their restaurant and bar. Valet parking is expensive at $85 per night. Rooms will only be cleaned when requested.
Overal was a nice stay.

The place was beautiful, and the location was excellent. However, the service was disappointing—definitely one star. From check-in to dining to check-out, the staff was consistently rude. Would it be too much to ask for a smile and a simple “thank you”?
We were excited to try this place, especially after a poor experience at the Westin down the road, but this was no improvement. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

The Beacon Grand was bustling over the holiday weekend, and the hotel looked great with its recent makeover. The rooms retained their historic character, but felt modern and very comfortable as well. The staff were great, and make sure to check out the 360 views from the Starlight lounge on the 21st floor looking out over Union Square and all the vistas of SF.
