so beautiful and right on the water.

Check in was easy, was going to be later than the check in times posted. Was informed that there was sand piles in the parking lot(understandable with the recent storm). But was not expecting the beach in front of the room to be GONE and the water right against the porch. It was extremely loud. With the other houses going into the ocean it made my son feel uneasy as myself being alone with two children. The room was clean but had a smell to it I assume recent panel replacements in the room. To ease my child I felt the need to leave so he felt safe. I understood paying for the room for that night as we had been in the room and taken our bags in. But there was no option to return money for the other night I was to stay and didn’t. I’d understand if it was under other circumstances but I was never informed of the water issue and to be out hundreds is mind blowing. Never had me sign anything else. Never gave a receipt. Nothing. I’m so disappointed and upset. But my kids feeling and safty comes first. I won’t be booking here again.

Wonderful old-style motel. Very cozy and with exceptional location on the beach.

Great location and easy access to the beach. Front desk was very friendly. Walking distance to shopping and eating.

Was nice and quiet and chill and i needed that.

Don't book through 3rd party because front desk here will not work with you at all on changing dates of stay, etc. Also, you have to clean your own room including taking out all the trash or get fined.

Wonderful view, clean, good sleeping bed. Staff was nice and helpful.

This Motel has been in existence for many years and is currently undergoing some repairs/remodeling. Overall, the rooms were very clean and neat, with fridge and microwave. Location was right next to the beach, some units overlook the ocean. Compared to other locations, room rates were very reasonable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It did what it needed to. Shower and a dry place to sleep. Unless you slept in the front porch area. We sat out it in to watch the storm that rolled in. Water leaked under the door and the ceiling out there leaked. The maids left a cute little envelope for tips on the fridge… that was placed under the list of things that the guest needed to do before check out. If I’m not mistaken, that was a list of things that the maid do everywhere else I have ever stayed. We ate 3 meals there and put all the dishes in the dish washer. So when we went to run it after it was all loaded. It became very apparent that the dishwasher didn’t work, and probably hasn’t worked in a very long time. And with a $50 fee for not doing the items on the check out list. There I was at 3 in the morning hand washing dishes. It’s not like I’m saying that there was some building roped off and probably shouldn’t be entered, or the beach front building/rooms you could literally fish off the deck cuz the waves go right up to the stilts that are holding the place up…. Oh wait. That’s all true too. But the fish cleaning station is present and worked great. But all in all. It’s the OBX, it’s suppose to be an adventure. It got the job done. And for the right price, I’d probably stay there again. (Lower price that is)

There was a roach in the silverware, hardly any amenities, the staff was just a bunch of kids maybe 16 or 17. Its close to the beach, maybe too close! The layout was okay. They want you to clean your own room, threaten you with charges if you don't, but there is a maid service tip envelope on the same paper. For what? No. The best description is lazy. The buildings are good though.

Staff was friendly and the room was clean

No tv all night, called about it not working and they said they were sending someone and no one came. Also there were cockroaches, I brought it to their attention and even brought one in a jar to show them. They said oh is just a palmetto but they’re not roaches. I’m sorry if you google it then you will find out they are roaches. Yuck!

Strandnähe ist sehr gut. Max. 2 Minuten schon steht man am Strand.

Chambre en bordure de route très passante et bruyante alors que j'avais choisi une chambre côté océan. Pas de rideaux ni de volets, mais des stores très fins et cassés. Nous avons demandé une réparation mais ça n'a pas été fait.

It was a short walk to the beach just over the dune. Great pool and the staff were very nice!

Unfortunately our stay was colored by the constant presence of at least three different types of cockroaches :( itty bitty ones on the cabinet, larger brown ones that crawl out seemingly from behind the fridge and under counter, and big ole black ones that absolutely covered all the railings and decking at night. Saw several of those inside as well, including in kids bedroom on the last night :( it was hard to relax and enjoy the evenings with these guys crawling over our feet and trying to get into everything. On the plus side, bedding and towels smelled clean, but there were a lot of issues here for $400/night. We feel cheated and sadly won’t be staying here again.

Just an average place. Clean.

The apartment was wonderful, and everything was very clean and lovely.
