Staying here was amazing. Right near downtown and parking and seemed like a vintage hotel. Room was amazing as well as the bed. Great service and just a good over all experience. Great hotel

Convenient location. Wide variety of great shops and restaurants in walking distance. Parking garage across the street was great to not haul luggage long distances. Hotel was dated, but clean. Excellent service from the staff. Only criticism I had was the room thermostat. You couldn’t set a specific temperature. Either the room was freezing cold or very hot. Had to wake up in the middle of the night to switch from one extreme to the other.

We liked the location of the hotel. It seemed like we were given a room that was low grade. It was across from the elevator which means every time someone came or went they walked right past our door. Our room also faced the parking garage and car horns went off all hours of the night.

For those who enjoy historical buildings, this is the hotel for you. Lovely furnishings and "homey" atmosphere (complete with fresh chocolate chip cookies in the lobby) when you return after a long day.
Although I stayed in the hotel during an unusual downturn of winter temperatures, it would be more comfortable if the dry heat in the hotel lobby and rooms could be mitigated by some form of humidity. I was unsure how safe the environment around the hotel was and so walked quickly and with purpose when I left in the morning and returned at night.

This was not what we expected it to be by the pictures. The bathroom was filthy. There were broken acrylic nails on the floor, obviously it wasn’t swept. The shower had cracked up tiles, a full tile was missing. You could see the mold, we definitely did not use the shower. The nightstands were filthy. The bed was super old and creaking so bad we thought it was going to break. Would never go back. The lobby was clean but that’s about it.

Planters Inn is centrally located to a lot of attractions in Savannah's historic district. It is only a few minutes walk to many shops and restaurants and the River Walk is only a few blocks away. As a solo traveler, I felt safe in the neighborhood and hotel.
The room was very space and it included two robes for use during my stay. I also loved that there were freshly baked cookies nightly.
The staff were super friendly.

Great location on Reynolds Square downtown. In Historic District - easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and local sites. It’s a nice, old hotel with spacious rooms, and there’s a convenient self-park garage directly next door. Our room was looking a little “tired”, with some frayed draperies and worn looking furniture, but was very clean. Bathroom is also spacious with plenty of counter space for toiletries. One of our favorite places to stay in Savannah!
