Place was nice but felt out dated. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were tiny and not very useful

The hotel front desk and garage staff were friendly and efficient. They were knowlegeable and accommodating. The hotel room was clean. Eco and security measures were obvious. The view was poor, but the price was low. The location was close to pubs, restaurants, shopping, and some history. I would stay there again.

From the very moment we walked on property, our stay was perfect! Valet, Bellhop, Greeted by Stephen at the door to the front desk Staff, our bartender Kayla in one of the "onsite" restaurants (Spice Finch) was outstanding! Not to mention the endless cleaning crew always on the go! Had a 1-King room and must say, most comfortable mattress & linens we could have asked for. Just a wonderful experience.

There was ABSOLUTELY no staff available either on the phone or in person. There was no contact with front desk or housekeeping after trying to reach them most of the evening or the next day. After checkout (just left keys because there was only one staff member and a LONG line of people (same as night before) I had to call Marriott Bonvoy directly to ask about charges on my bill. No towels (face or hand towels) which is one of the reasons I called AND heater did not work. Unacceptable.

Clean and safe

Not a 4 Star experience. The property is gorgeous, but we arrived at check in time (4 pm) and waited an hour to get to the receptionist, only to hear our room wasn’t ready. An hour later, I checked with the receptionist again, who was still helping people who were in line to check in, and we got keys to our room. The room was cleanly, but nothing seemed overly special. Also, no robes were in the room as indicated in the amenities. Definitely a 2 star experience for a lovely property. I will also say the staff were not rude but friendly and seemed to be in a bind.

Visiting on a holiday weekend, the staff seemed unprepared for the amount of people checking in. My hot water in my shower was not originally working either

Good

The adjoining room was very noisy at times, and at one point the alarm went off, and the people contined to hit the snooze for over and hour. It got to the point where we had to call the front desk, and they took care of it. We could hear everything the neighbors said, but overall we had an enjoyable stay. The staff was very attentive.

I was so happy to stay at such an elegant Philadelphia hotel and we had a wonderful dinner at the Grill. Luis was such an attentive and thoughtful waiter. We also enjoyed talking to the couple at the next table -- Doug and Karen who are regulars and very entertaining and thoughtful!

Everything about this property was wonderful except for the valet parking. I left some money in my consul and it was gone when valet returned our car.

Was advised "Eligible for room upgrade; inquire at check-in" for Expedia Gold status. Hopeful, I waited to check in with SOLE agent at 3 terminal desk at 4:45 pm on a Saturday, only to be told, "You got a King Suite with Espresso maker?" "Yes." "We don't have any of those rooms ready." "How long would the wait be for one?" "I don't know." "Well, is a room upgrade available like my Expedia app suggests I'm eligible for?" "No." Given plain king room. Wallpaper peeling, desk and bathroom vanity paint chipped, scraped off. Duvet thin, didn't keep us warm. Dog barking next door 12:45 am.

The check in process was a COMPLETE disaster. It took us 1.5 hours to check in! No one apologized or explained why it was taking so long. There was ONE nice girl checking people in. We missed our dinner reservations because it took so long. I definitely will not stay there again. And on top of the poor check in, the water in the shower did not remain at the temperature set. It would drastically change from scalding hot to cold without even touching it. This experience sadly ruined our stay in Philadelphia.

Awful

I reserved 2 rooms for one night at this hotel. Despite the check-in time being at 4 PM and check-out at 12 PM, I checked in at 8 PM and checked out at 10 AM. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from start to finish. When I arrived, I discovered that one of the rooms I had reserved—a room with two beds—was not available. Instead, I was told there was only a room with a king bed. This was frustrating, as it did not meet my needs or expectations. Additionally, the condition of the room was unacceptable. The furniture was visibly deteriorated, with the nightstands and artwork on the walls completely out of place. It was clear that no attention was given to these details, making the room feel poorly maintained. To make matters worse, there was no valet parking available when I arrived, and the garage was full. I had to drive around to find parking elsewhere, which was both inconvenient and time-consuming. Finally, this morning when we checked out, we requested that the hotel store our luggage. Francisco assisted us, but when we told him we would pick up the bags around 5 PM, he became visibly annoyed and spoke to us in a rude and unprofessional manner. This treatment was completely uncalled for, especially since my family and I were respectful at all times. I am so dissatisfied with the service that I decided to leave immediately after breakfast and will only return to pick up my luggage. I will not stay at this hotel again.

This is a great location. The Hotel common areas are very nice. Marriott needs to renovate the baths and furniture in the rooms. Bed was awesome

More than an hour to check in from arrival. Understaffed, kind people doing their best. Marriott not up to its standard here right now.

Convenient location, decent price for the Rittenhouse Square area.
