I stayed in Room 10 for 3 nights. Room 10 faces the rear of the building and thus I was not affected by any sound or noise from the front of the building (which has a few restaurants and eateries open till late at night). The bed was surprisingly good and clean-amazing, in fact-soft and comfortable. I requested extra pillows and Qloft supplied them. The shower was narrow but the water pressure was strong and the water heater functioned perfectly well. The door is opened via an old-fashioned key and lock but works all the same. If there are two improvements that I could suggest: 1) The power sockets are not close to the table at all. One is at the bed (which is normal and fine), the second one is beside the door to the room itself, thus not very convenient for making hot tea/coffee-which is supplied to each room as well. 2) Room 10 's layout means that the TV juts out over one side of the bed-something to take note of if you move a lot while you sleep. 3) No mention of room service/trash disposal. The benefits of this hotel are: 1) Location. The bus stops are less than a minute 's walk away from the hotel 's entrance, with multiple buses going to and from Tanah Merah MRT which is only 2 bus stops away. 2) Food/convenience store options. New Mahamoodiya is at the end of the building and is open 24 hours (the prata/roti canai is to die for), 7-11 is along the same stretch and another provision store as well. Tang Tea House is also offers dim sum and Asian cuisine late into the night. Across the road is Spize at Simpang Bedok. Overall, we rate our stay a 8/10. We would definitely consider staying here again for shorter trips.
