I liked that everything was clean and felt private. It was also moderately convenient to the subway and a vibrant Brooklyn neighborhood.
However, the room's exterior window could not be locked, and was easily accessible from below. That area was also not visible from the street. This seemed extremely unsafe.
The room was tiny, and its door facing the hall had only a basic interior lock (easily kicked in).
There was no air conditioning. Even worse, the bed had extremely hot covers on it with no regular sheet. I had to have a six pack of water next to the bed just to stay hydrated all night.
The bathroom/shower/fridge was a shared facility between four other rooms. This was not clear from the online description.
The shower had an exterior window with no curtain.
The advertised checkin time was extremely narrow (1 pm - 4 pm), not easy to accommodate. The staff did show flexibility though, and I was able to check in very late around 5:30 pm. However, a more standard checkin would be appreciated.
