St James Hotel, BW Premier Collection

OK hotel som dig er noget slidt med utætte vinduer og iskolde værelser, som varmesystemet ikke er i stand til at varme op. Badeværelset var så koldt at pingviner ville løbe skrigende væk. Morgenmaden var typisk engelsk med bacon, der så ud og smagte som havde det ligget i varmebeholderen i flere dage. Jeg vil her gerne opfordre til at få isoleret, få energiruder og udskiftet varmeforsyningen.

Was a good stay

Lovely bar, attentive service and comfortable room. Breakfast and dinner were also both good. The only issue I had was the noise - there was very little soundproofing which meant I didn’t sleep particularly well.

The heating was so good, window is asnt double glazed,no heating in toilet so its very cold

Been here a few times and the staff are always friendly. Breakfast are lovely. Went between Christmas and the new year and is a short walk to the Winter Wonderland which was still in full swing.

A really nice hotel, good value for money

Great location and easy walking distance from train station

Ten minutes walk from the train station makes this an accessible hote. Price ok and decent English buffet breakfast for an additional reasonable cost. Friendly staff and will continue to use this hotel. Very good. Very comfortable beds as well.

I recently stayed at the St James Hotel for two nights, and unfortunately, it was an incredibly unpleasant experience. The first issue I encountered was the noise. The corridors were noisy throughout the night, making it nearly impossible to sleep. Additionally, my room was uncomfortably cold, and I couldn't find a way to adjust the temperature. To make matters worse, the window wouldn't close properly, allowing street noise to seep in and keep me awake. On the second night, things got even worse when the fire alarm went off at 8 a.m., further disrupting what little sleep I had managed to get. The lack of soundproofing and the malfunctioning window made for a very frustrating stay. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and restful experience. The issues with noise and comfort, combined with the alarm incident, made it a disappointing stay. I hope the hotel can address these problems for future guests.

Very central nice hotel

The hotel is conveniently located near the castle and city center activities. Breakfast includes a full English as part of the buffet. The hotel could use some updating but the staff & service were excellent. Parking is a challenge- be sure to drop your bags at the hotel first!

I don't usually leave reviews but I feel necessary on this occasion. The twin room was very outdated and not up to standard considering the star rating of the hotel. Various factors such as paint scuffs, stains on the worn carpet, old bath, sink, fixtures and fittings. Did not feel it was worth the price we paid and certainly didn't feel luxury. Should have chosen other nearby alternatives. On the plus side it was a nice breakfast.

I've just stayed at st James hotel 15th-16th room 109 when I was booking this hotel was described as a four star luxury hotel I've been very excited to staying at the hotel for 2 nights over December I'm booked to come back next Saturday When I checked in the receptionist was well mannered when I got in my room I was very disappointed the room was very small and the desk looked very tired I was just looking forward to having a cup of coffee in the room because I was under the impression the rooms had a coffee machine which it didn't. It had a kettle and instant coffee which I was not expecting. I also noticed the bath room was very small i've not been able to use the shower because I'm too big and the toilet was also very unusable even the toilet seat was broken I went down to the reception and was told the rooms only had coffee machines in the executive rooms but the website is very misleading also, I was absolutely devastated to find out that there was no restaurant that evening because of a staff party and I couldn't even order a coffee from the bar because it was closed during the night, there was lots of noise I'm presuming it was staff members running up and down the corridors I asked to speak to a manager and I was told that they wasn't any managers and I had to email yourself

Reception area is nice, carpets to the toilets need hoovering. Room was basic

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years, and the crash pad room is very comfortable and convenient for a one-night stay when visiting the city centre. The bathroom is reasonably okay but could benefit from some updates. Other than that, I would recommend staying there.

Perfect location for any visitor to Nottingham whether that be going to a gig at Rock City (us) a visit to the castle or just a night out with friends
