Familieværelse. Gulvet hældte til den ene side. Så det gjorde dobbeltsengen også. De bestilte to enkeltsenge var drømmesenge, ikke rigtige senge med madrasser. Badeværelset var så lille, at min mand på 185 måtte sidde sidelæns på toilettet, fordi der ikke var plads den anden vej. Døren til badeværelse var af glas og sluttede ikke tæt rundt i karmen, så man kunne kigge ind. Der var ingen lås på døren, og fordi gulvet hældte til den ene side, gled døren hele tiden op. Der er en kæmpe bygning under opførelse lige overfor, men det er der jo så mange steder i London. Positivt er beliggenheden og rigtig gode muligheder for offentlig transport.

The staff was extremely professional and nice and the facility was clean. It was in perfect walking distance of several eating establishments as well

We needed a hotel close to the station for an early trip on the Eurostar to Paris, and this was absolutely perfect. Not even a minute’s walk to and from King’s Cross/St Pancras station. 24 hour reception. We were on the ground floor (thank goodness, because we had heavy suitcases) and facing the street, and so there was a bit of street noise but nothing too crazy. Also, every 5-10 mins you could hear a bit of a rumble as the trains passed far beneath us, but the location of this topped everything else for me.

The hotel was ok. Our room was in the bottom of the hotel, so was noisy. Some noises sounded like someone was moving furniture. The noise did settle down. The TV wasn't working properly ith the screen going of after 10 minutes. For £138 we didn't think room only was good value for money

Our only complaint is that we were not advised of the lack of an elevator beforehand. Upon arrival, staff assisted us with our baggage. However, upon departure, we had no assistance. This caused great difficulties for us as we were three floors up.

La salle de bain horrible! La porte de la salle de bain ne se ferme pas et est en verre trempé mais transparent quand meme.. lorsque vous y aller on vous entends et on vous vois... obligé de sortir de la chambre pour que les autres puissent aller faire leur besoin. La chasse d'eau foctionne quand elle veut. La robineteries etait tres vieille avec des traces d'usure, comme toute la salle de bain. La lumiere de la piece sombre, un peu trop. Les lits pas tres confortable. Les escalier pour descendre dans la salle de bain c'est pas terrible, on peut facilement glisser. Les cotés positifs sont l'emplacement, a deux pas de St Pancras (vraiment a deux pas), le personnel a plutot sympa (une dame super sympa et une autre un peu froide). On entends un peu le metro passer mais globalement la chambre est silencieuse.

Lovely little hotel brilliant location, very noisy with building works across the road and extremely hot (even in November) there was a fan in the room but it didn't help. But the rooms were pleasant and the staff extremely friendly

rooms were very small, beds were old and rickety, mattresses were too worn, bed springs were about to go. no lift in the hotel, which was fine as we knew about it beforehand, BUT the carpeted stairs were worn and the steps were wobbly so it made the ascent and descent very dangerous.

Hemos pasado 3 días muy a gusto. El hotel es tal cual la página . Muy bien situado y con la estación de metro y tren al aeropuerto a pocos metros

With warm greetings from staff upon arrival, The California, hosting some 60 rooms, is old-world boutique hotel, a comfy couch with a few bare threads in a location that’s hard to beat and a cozy patio for a coffee and croissant. The connected townhouses hide a warren of hallways and stairs where every room is different and reflects the cubicle style that seems to be rage.

Rooms are very small. Location is excellent to Kings across. Staff especially the evening staff when we checked in were lovely. Would stay for convenience only.

Did the job, very comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff

Location is prime as it is a stone throw away from King's Cross and access the the international trains into Europe, always a good back up when you have an early train in the morning

Cute hotel only 2 minutes away from st.pancras international. Small room was clean and sufficient. Only the mattress was too soft for me and the WiFi not very stable. Otherwise nothing to complain
