Excellent customer service, top location. We were going to miss breakfast to catch an early ferry and staff prepared to-go boxes so we could have a snack on the way to Mikonos.

Everything was great, location, reception, etc.
However breakfast service is too slow , food takes a long time to be served, and our order was wrongly taken several times (for two days in a row) by the young lady...
She should write down the orders because she can't memorize them all...
To finalize, the portions of food are pretty small, sometimes even ridiculous.

The positives about this hotel are location and the friendly staff. The views to the Acropolis are fantastic.
It is on the expensive side. The hotel only has one small tiny elevator.

Hotel location is excellent for most of the major sites like the Acropolis, the Acropolis museum, the agoras, Hadrians gate, the Panathenaic stadium etc. All are within a 15min walk.
There are plenty of restaurants close by and the Monastiraki, Syntagma and other squares are all easily walkable as well.
The room we stayed in was well equipped and very comfortable and met our needs perfectly.
The staff at the hotel from the people at reception to the staff serving breakfast really made us feel welcome and always had a smile to brighten the day.
The only thing i would have liked to see was an area where you could sit nd have a chat without feeling like you had to buy something. This is only a minor point as most of time when we got back to the hotel we were ready to shower and sleep.

We have stayed here twice in the last year. Having a balcony room on the pleasantly busy pedestrian street, with the Acropolis a stones throw away is the most special experience. Worth coming here just for the breakfast. Staff is very helpful, friendly, housekeeping is spectacular and very pleasant. When we return to Athens, we will only stay here! Hotel restaurant menu is also a nice bonus. Perfect to walk to shops and museums.

Great location, close to Acropolis, it’s near Plaka area which is offers great shopping and dining experience, the main street feels safe and police officers are near by, nice and friendly staffs, delicious breakfast, and finally, excellent view to Acropolis from my balcony.

Amazing. It was incredible staying at Athens Was. It's beautiful, clean, a short walk from the Acropolis, and the hospitality was excellent. As soon as we checked in, we were warmly greeted and offered fresh fruit juice and lemon tarts (which were delicious). Our room was excellent and included a handwritten note from the manager welcoming us. After we returned from a rooftop dinner with a stupendous view of the Acropolis at night, we found our room turned-down with tasty chocolate treats for us both. Breakfast the next morning was (unsurprisingly) also delectable. The hotel wins on all fronts: wonderful staff, hospitality, and a location right in heart of beautiful Athens.

You cannot charge a top price per night for a room in which you are forced to wake at 6am and cannot go to sleep before 11 pm. The breakfast and dinner restaurant just above has a tiled floor and chairs without rubber and louter scratching begins at around 6 in the morning when they arrange chairs and continues till after breakfast time. You also hear each guest walking.
Easy to fix: put carpet on the floor and rubbers under chairs.
