We had a lovely 3-night stay at the Royal Plaza Montreux. It was an easy walk from the Montreux station (also easy to get a taxi if you have a lot of luggage and don’t want to walk).
We walked to the Christmas market, which was wonderful!
It was also an easy walk to the shopping district, which had tons of shopping and restaurants.
In addition, the bus was super easy to use, goes right by the hotel, and takes you to shopping as well as Chillon castle.
The hotel breakfast on the main floor was lovely, with plenty of options. The hot buffet on the lower level was also very good with a ton of options.
But perhaps the best thing was the gorgeous view of the lake and the mountains from the hotel lobby!

Amazing views in the lobby, I had a room facing away from the lake looking at the town on the mountain and I still enjoyed morning view. Nice spa complex and very nice staff. Definitely recommend.

I would have expected a slightly better service bearing in mind the premium paid for booking this hotel.

The location is perfect and they have a good underground parking facility. We felt some of the hotel was dated and that also applied to the room. The room was spacious. The staff were very good and the city is right outside the door. We did have a few drinks at the bar but it closed at 11 which seemed odd to us that guests coudlnt get a drink after 11.

Das Hotel war vor einigen Jahren sicherlich eine sehr gute Adresse, scheint jedoch nun in die Jahre gekommen zu sein. Eine Grossbaustelle gleich nebenan (Congress Center) hat die Ruhe an Wochentagen gestört. Die Nähe zum See und Panorama ist recht gut. Relativ treuer sind die Tiefgaragenparkplätze, Frühstück (separat) und Zimmer im Vergleich zur Qualitätsanmutung. Service im Restaurant (Frühstück) war sehr umsichtig, jedoch kann die Qualität und die Auswahl der Speisen nur als mittelmässig im Vergleich zum Preis (30 CHF) eingestuft werden. Wertsachen-Safe funktionierte nicht und musste nach einigen Versuchen der Service-Mitarbeiter schlussendlich ausgetauscht werden.

다소 연식이 된 호텔이오나 관리가 잘 되어 좋았습니다. 레만호수가 펼쳐진 발코니 뷰는 굉장했습니다. 다만 아쉬운점은 호텔 체크인시 환영 받는 분위기는 아니였습니다. 굉장히 사무적이라 다소 놀랐습니다. 하지만 체크아웃시 Manager로 보이는 남성분만 친절 했습니다.
Tip. Montruex 역에서 호텔까지 3인기준 18프랑.

Lovely hotel in a quieter part of Montreux but a short walk from everything including the train station. Bedroom was very spacious, bed super comfy, we dined in the restaurant and the food and wines were excellent! Highly recommend with absolutely stunning views of the lake 😊
