Super fast check in, friendly staff, clean room, free breakfast!

Comfortable and clean. Breakfast could use a few more items

I didn't really care for the heating system off and on, room was a little cool. Breakfast was meadeocare.

With our hotels.com discount, the motel offered good value for the cost / area, and while it's a little rough around the edges, I'd stay again. The location is very convenient: just off the freeway and close to downtown, a grocery store, etc.

I give my rating simply because, friendly staff, cleanliness was good, requesting extra pillows wasn't hard to get. What was disappointing was the tv wasn't broadcasting local news or live tv. The cable box was mounted to the wall, so was coexed into the Samsung tv, so we had to deal with old tv shows watching samsung tv. We asked for someone to please check the tv or xfinity so we can watch local live tv and broadcasting. They have luggage carts which was nice, and complimentary breakfast 6 - 9 a.m. who ever was making coffee should buy a better filter, it was not pleasant to drink coffee grounds in a 2 - 3oz coffee cup. Overall it was just ok.

The staff at the Guesthouse are always friendly and helpful. The hallways are clean, the rooms are really nice and roomy with a microwave and fridge. Decent sized too. The free breakfast is always a plus.

Check in was easy. We booked 2 rooms but one room smelled like pot so they quickly swapped with another room. Problem solved! The hotel is older but renovated so it's satisfactory for the most part (bathroom could be updated). Breakfast is included but honestly the offerings were abysmal! We've stayed at many 2-4 star lodgings with free breakfast and this was a new low for us! In fact, the last two times we've stayed here, the receptionist didn't even notify us of this perk (lol) leading me to wonder if even they are embarrassed about it. We took advantage of the free offering this time and laughed our way around the room looking at the toast, froot loops, one hardboiled egg, and the standard waffle iron.

We travel to Bellingham several times a year, and this was our first time staying at the Guesthouse. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. While the price was reasonable, the overall experience left much to be desired. I had specifically requested a king-size bed in a quiet location, but we were given a king-sized bed in a small room right next to the front entrance. The noise from the breakfast area and laundry room made it nearly impossible to get a good night’s rest. This was far from the peaceful stay I had hoped for. There were a few other issues during our stay that were disappointing. For starters, we were only provided with one room key, despite there being two adults. Additionally, we were not informed that housekeeping only cleans rooms every other day. This lack of communication was frustrating, as we had expected daily cleaning. The breakfast, which was one of the perks of the hotel, was only available until 9:00 AM, and the room was locked promptly after. If you missed it, you were out of luck. This early cutoff was inconvenient, especially for those who enjoy a more leisurely morning. The Wi-Fi was another problem—it was very unreliable and kept dropping connection, which could have been an issue if I needed to work during our stay. Thankfully, I didn’t. The room itself was in need of some updates. While the bed was clean and comfortable, the overall space felt outdated, and the floors were less than ideal. I’m glad I brought slippers, as the con

Sheets had stains, bathroom was caked with dirt on the tile seams, hair in tub. Check in person wasn’t friendly and didn’t even mention the breakfast hours or location. Elevators reeked of cigarettes.

They need to make it more clear regarding housekeeping. Apparently, you have to request it during the week, but they clean on Thursdays and do full service. I requested 2 full sets of towels in the morning and never received them all day into the evening. Otherwise, some of the staff is pleasant. Some not so much.
