The place is an older motor lodge but the rooms have been upgraded and were clean. Great location and safe area

It was a great place to stay for the price

Our room did not reflex the reviews nor photos. It was badly maintained inside and out. At arrival we were told that our original room was upgraded to a king suite, if this was an upgrade, I don't want to see what we originally had. Upon entering, we noticed there was no dresser to keep clothes nor shelves, the walls had holes and there was mold in the corners of the shower. The closet had a couple hangers, but no shelving to put clothes. The bed was a mattress on a spring board. The other furniture was two small uncomfortable futons that looked very old and not appealing to sit on, and an old office chair with no arms. With no other rooms available, we had to keep this room. But even if there were rooms available. The furniture was old and uncomfortable. There was stains on the furniture as well. The bathroom looked like it was started to be updated, but was stopped for some reason. One towel rack, no where to store extra towels and on our last morning we had no hot water. Breakfast was average, but the breakfast food was kept at the correct temperature and the serving area and tables were kept clean. It was the same breakfast everyday, with no variety. Four tables that seated 6 and four tables that seated 2 were the only place to sit for breakfast. The hotel was an easy walk to the historical area and it did have a trolly stop for those who could not walk the 5 blocks. These two things are the only positive to our experience. The room was clean and well lit. The king size bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and willing to answer questions. Overall Villa 1565 is a nice place to stay with many attractions that are within walking distance.

We stayed for five minutes. This property is just awful. Super dated and depressing, rusting light fixtures, horrible commerical cleaning smell. Something is seriously wrong at this property. I tried to get a refund, and they refused.

I would not recommend Villa 1565 to anyone.

Great location and the room was clean. 600 yr old oak on the property and short walk to the most beautiful street behind the hotel. I’d stay here again.

Beds were clean and comfortable. However...This property is definitely a "lipstick on a pig". I chose Villa for location and walkability. However I wish I went there to look at rooms before booking or at least purchased room protection and canceled for a refund. Upon check-in, I had to change to another room due to visible mold on window blinds and window frame. The 2nd room "looked" cleaner but the smell of mold was still present. I drove to store and purchased disinfectant wipes and cleaned everything...surfaces, shower, counters, bed frame, door, and the floor. The tile floor was so dirty that I had to wipe it with a wet rag. I noticed housekeepings carts have brooms but the mops didn't have mop heads. So obviously they do very little cleaning between guests. I handwashed a couple pieces of clothing in sink and hung to dry on shower curtain rod. Items were still wet when I ret

Location was the only thing that was exceptional...all else (room, light fixtures, bathroom/floors and base board, shower head, and ironing board) was grimy/dirty. Comfort between 1 and 10....2. Quality of room/space did not match pictures on web site. Over priced. 😒 Would not recommend to friends and family.

Check-in was quick & easy. Clerk was very pleasant & knowledgeable. Hotel is older. It has been renovated at some point. The shower & water pressure was great. Bed was okay, not bad, not great.

As I got to my room 131 You can find bag of trash by the parking area and by exit back area by the fence full of thrash bags. Is disgusting.

Service was good. But the property is a motel .. nothing like the online page , should be cheaper .thanks

Bathrooms floors were not clean.

Overpriced and underdeveloped—avoid. This hotel is incredibly dated and poorly maintained. We were forced to take freezing cold showers because there was no hot water. When I brought this to the staff’s attention, the attendant dismissively told me they "just turned on the machine." For the high price we paid, this level of service and basic infrastructure is unacceptable.

It’s a very old place . The staff were very accommodating.some of the stuff in our room did not work .clock,microwave. The breakfast was ok like many breakfast served with room but the building it was served in was very hot . Had no fan or air conditioning. Needs a little talc

Budget hotel for the area. Room was ok- door wasn’t fully aligned so there was light coming in from the bottom which was a little bit of a security concern. Room was clean to the eye generally but there was mold on the toilet paper holder and dirt around bathroom edges. Bed had hair in it. The courteous staff made up for everything- they let me check in almost 3 hours early. Free parking. Super close to attractions in fact the tourist trolley comes through the parking area.
