This was a cozy and safe gem of a place. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The staff were so very kind and the food was incredible.

Lovely old Georgian hotel, clean and comfortable.

I was traveling with my very senior parents and staff offered to relocate them to a ground floor room as I'd not thought to request it. Dining doesn't have a ton of options but what you get is exquisite and the service is friendly and attentive.

Arrived to a very warm and helpful welcome. Room was lovely. Highlight was the excellent staff. Especially Sarah. Very dog friendly and the enclosed garden was not only beautiful but ideal four our dog.

We booked this at the last minute and arrived just 15 minutes before the kitchen was to close. They were very helpful and made sure we got seated and fed on a cold rainy night. This hotel is very close to the shops in town, perfect for a book holiday. The staff was very helpful in locating and directing me to a place that could help me ship my books back home.

I love the spacious room. If you have heavy luggage, do note that you have to lug it up a flight of stairs.

Nice greeting when we arrived,our room was alright comfortable but slightly shabby.Clean though.we had a cream tea in the afternoon which really wasn’t very good at all,the scone turned to dust after I cut into it,making it almost impossible to spread anything on it. We had a good nights sleep the bed was comfortable The breakfast was disappointing,couldn’t finish my sausage Throughout our stay there was a strange smell in the building.

The wifi in the outside rooms was very poor. The bed was very comfortable, there was adequate storage for clothes etc.

The Swan is a great place to stay, conveniently located near the center of town with easy access to a laundry, an ATM, a Post Office, restaurants and shopping. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served and the pub offers light options between meals. Top ratings.

It was a lovely hotel. Maybe the restaurant could have had better service as it was slow. The floor of our room was noisy and uneven. But it was nicely located and the staff catered to my every whim. 😊
