This tour is a close experience unlike any other! That is because in this program, you will take the boat and head for an excursion to Kampung Dedari – a village of Orang Asli people. The ancestors of this Batek tribe supposedly migrated from Africa around 80,000 -70,000 years ago to Peninsular Malaysia. Their rich history can be traced as far back as Australia and Papua New Guinea.
In this tour, the Orang Asli will demonstrate to you many of their wisdom and knowledges. For example, how they gather raw foods from the wild, how to dig two-meter soil for tapioca. They will also share how to recognize medicinal plants and roots in nature, and make tea from those roots (a relaxing tea sipping session included!). In this tour you will get a once-in-a-lifetime experience to learn the lifestyle of Orang Asli. See how they start a fire the traditional way, how they make darts for a blowpipe and how to use the blowpipe itself. We guarantee a fun learning experience that feels like a historical adventure.
