Complete your trip to Japan with a samurai learning experience at the heart of Kyoto.

Gain access to the process of proper samurai training. Put on your hakama outfit and learn basic sword techniques such as drawing and sheathing the sword and slashing. Practice your skills by using a real sword to slash a straw mat.

After the hands-on activities, learn about the history and stories of the samurai with an English-speaking guide. Try your hand with special ninja weapons, including the blow-gun and ninja stars.

- Take a 5-min walk from Hankyu Kyoto Main Line Kyoto-kawaramachi Station (Exit 9)
- Take a 10-min walk from Keihan Main Line Gion-Shijo Station
- The museum is located in Teramachi Kyogoku Shopping Arcade, near Nishiki Market, diagonally across from Wendy's First Kitchen

・Please note that visitors under age 18 is not allowed to participate due to safety concerns as real swords are used during the activity
・Please note that full activity is 2 hrs long, guests will experience samurai sword lessons first. Guided tour, ninja weapon experience, and samurai armor photos can be done in no particular order
