If you are claustrophobic, then it won't be suitable for you. Pillow is too soft and when we called for the night shift receptionist for extra pillow, he didn't bother to call us back. Our room was upgraded by the customer service oriented personnel at the counter. He's friendly and very welcoming 👍Room is very clean and comfortable.

Hotel 81 Tristar
- Hotel location is ok, need to walk 5 to 10 minutes to Paya Lebar and Eunos MRT stations, near shopping centre, food places plus other shops. Exterior is good, hotel lobby is spacious, staff are friendly and lifts are available.
- Hotel overall is ok but wifi in room is very weak, never mind since I am using mobile data instead. Size of room is quite big but not that soundproof so it comes with basic Mediacorp channels, remote control for air-con, drawers, hairdryer, kettle for boiling water, coffee & tea, cups & stirrers, clothes hangers, toothbrush & toothpaste, towels and bidet (which I don't use). Got swimming pool but I did not use because raining that time.
I may stay in this hotel in the near future but will consider other hotels too.

Hotel 81 Sakura
If you are wanting to explore joo chiat then this hotel would be a great option. It’s really close to all the great places, also 1 minute walk to the bus station. Although if using the public transport, getting to anywhere else in sgp is quite far but all fine.
The lady at check in was super nice and helpful. The room is quite small, had no window but im not complaining. The only thing that bugged us was how smelly the bathroom was when we first entered (pee smell). It was an easy fix tho, i just asked for a room fragrance spray and it was gone. The next days the smell also was gone, so i think because of how small the bathroom is, previous guests would maybe pee in the shower = peeing on the bathroom floor. ( please dont do that) apart from that, everything was great. The checkout was seamless and you can keep your bags in the hotel first after checkout.

Hotel Classic by Venue
Although the room is small, but it is comfortable enough to rest. The room and bathroom are clean. Only once smelled cigarette smoke for a while on the 3rd night. Overall it is OK according to the price. I stayed in 1 room for 3 people.

Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy
I was travelling with my big families and booked 4 rooms for 2 days. The staff was very friendly and accomodating my request of putting all the 4 rooms in one floor. They even upgraded some of the rooms and gave complimentary free of charge extra bed for the kids. Bus stop and Marine Parade MRT te line, and underground link bridge are directly in front of the hotel which makes it easy to reach some of popular tourist area! And lots of foodcourt and mall nearby. Hope they can add roof covered walkway to the MRT since it was mostly raining.
