The 2nd went to Semarang and this hotel happens to be the best choice. It's located at the center of the city with many options of culinary spot within 10 mins range by car or you can easily order it online. Superb clean accommodation and great service. The downside is only the basement parking space, but you can also park outdoor.

for the third time visiting Semarang for business purpose. this time I choose Gumaya and I love it so much! the room is spacious, clean, lobby is modernize, room service fast response and friendly, the food is so good Maybe the only cons that I realize is the carpet on 7th floor is a bit dirty. Will stay here if I ever visit Semarang again! 10/10 Best hotel I've ever experience in Semarang so far!

5 star hotel, but the restaurant and breakfast variety are very disappointing. The restaurant capacity is small, so we were directed to have breakfast on the 17th floor, even more disappointed because the menus are limited (like a 3 star restaurant) and cold, glasses for drinking must be asked first and guests are asked to use cups (???). Please improve for the future, for example benchmark with other 5 star hotel restaurants and improve the restaurant standards. In addition, room 1550, the bathroom smells bad (like the smell of a drain pipe) even though the room is clean, please check and fix it. The rest (room) is okay.

Clean, nice room, OK food. Just the place is not big enough. Finally moved breakfast to the 17th floor (food is not as much as on the lobby floor) but overall OK. Parking is also spacious.

Finally tried to stay at Gumaya, the room space is quite spacious and comfortable, quite soundproof even though the room is close to the elevator. Got access to the executive lounge, unfortunately I haven't had the chance to try it. Breakfast is quite delicious and varied. Only the ambiance at the skyline restaurant is not quite right for enjoying the view of Semarang city because there happened to be small children milling about. And the cafe below also doesn't have the right ambiance because the restaurant is used for events so the noise is very disturbing. So for work purposes, it can be recommended to stay here, but for staycation purposes I prefer other hotels.
