The first time we went scuba diving in Anilao back in 2013, I discovered Eagle Point Resort. Since then it has been our favorite dive resort in Anilao. The rooms are clean, the staff is great, the food is great and above all easy shore entry for divers! The weekend we booked was for a special occasion, I contacted the resort prior to our check in date to request for special arrangements to be done! Oh boy, they really delivered! I must commend their staff namely Lea and Dexter, for their effort in setting up the room with balloons and such. Come dinner time, a table was reserved and set up romantically too!
Overall this booking has further imbibed in us that this place is still wonderful even now in 2019.
We are divers and easy access to the ocean front is a must! If you are a scuba diver, you definitely should book in this resort!
They have 2 main swimming pools near the lobby which is great for non divers and kids.
The food may be pricey, but its worth it. We devoured every single item that we ordered and was satisfied. There are no other food choices around the resort. Bringing in your own food is not allowed.
Do note that Eagle Point Resort doesn’t have any sandy beach frontage, will only recommend beginner snorkelers to come here during summer when the waters are flatter. When we went free diving the water is choppy and there is a strong under current which for the inexperienced snorkeler, may be dangerous, the area with the strong current is way out near the bouys though. New snorkelers should stay near the shore, there are plenty underwater life to see around the rocks near the shore!
For first time guests, the parking is far from the actual resort. Parking lot is on top of a cliff, there is a hotel shuttle that will bring you down to the lobby, so try to bring everything you need from the car with you.
The resort has many many staircases, and may not be suitable for wheelchairs and the elderly.
