You may take ETS train to Butterworth train station. Trains leave from Kuala Lumpur's KL Sentral Railway Station and arrive at Penang's Butterworth Railway Station on the mainland, just 15 minutes away by ferry to George Town on Penang Island. The aquarium has 25 fish tanks in its darkened aquarium area where you can catch some pretty exotic species live here such as the moray eel, the lionfish and the giant catfish. For indoor aquarium is an open-air garden housing a koi and carp pond, a turtle pool and some tanks containing invertebrates such as starfish and anemones.
The Penang Snake Temple is about 3 km from the airport in Sungai Kluang, Bayan Lepas. The temple is said to be the only Chinese temple in the world to be inhabited by snakes. Built in the 1850s, it has attracted species of pit vipers, which are believed to be rendered harmless by the incense. The temple is also a focal point of the annual Chinese New Year celebrations, during which a flame-watching ceremony is held to predict the fortunes of the following 12 months.
