How to Get To Berjaya Langkawi Resort

There are flights such as Air Asia, Malindo Air, Firefly and Malaysia Airlines that fly daily to Langkawi International Airport. The journey takes around 50 minutes depends on weather. Rainforest Chalet is a 32 square metre room with choices of King-sized bed or twin beds. This room is suitable for newlyweds or friends and it is furnished with air conditioning, individual balcony, in-room Wi-Fi Access, Cable TV, Telephone with IDD call facilities, in-room safe, hair dryer, Iron and ironing board, mini bar, tea andcoffee making facilities, complimentary daily newspaper and rain shower as well as coplimentary toiletries. This chalet is surrounded with lush greeneries in an age-old tropical rainforest and is built on stilts with traditional Malay wooden exteriors with contemporary furnishing and amenities deck the interiors.

Rainforest Studio is a 64 square metre room furnished with timber flooring and filled with the warmth of natural daylight penetrating into the room. There is a king-sized bed and suitable for couple and small family. It is equipped with basic amenities including hair dryer, iron and ironing board.

Family Chalet is a 64 square metre room with King-sized bed and twin beds. This chalet is perfect for families who enjoy spending quality time together and it is formed by two inter-connecting Rainforest Chalets making this room spacious and suitable for private family gathering.

Premier Chalet is a 56 square metre room with king-sized bed or twin beds suitable for newlywed couples. This chalet offers magnificient view along the Andaman sea-front of Burau Bay provide a sanctuary for getaways of ultimate relaxation and recuperation.

Interesting Places near Berjaya Langkawi Resort

Langkawi Cable Car -

The Langkawi Cable Car which is also known as Langkawi SkyCab is located nearby (0.63 kilometre) from Berjaya Langkawi Resort. It is approximately about 30 minutes’ drive from Kuah town and 15 minutes’ drive from Langkawi International Airport. The Langkawi cable car project was developed in 1999 by the then Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad when he flew over Gunung Machinchang in a helicopter during his visit to Langkawi. The project was a joint venture by Doppelmayr of Austria and a local company. The construction of Langkawi Cable Car began in April 2001 after a survey of the mountain conducted in May 2000 and the Langkawi cable car was completed in August 2002 at a cost of RM 46 million. It was officially opened in 2003. There are stations for the cable car which are the Top Station that is located at the peak of Gunung Machinchang, the second highest peak of Langkawi. In the middle is an angle station where the gondolas make a 45-degree turn to reach the Top Station. As there is no road to the top due to the steepness of Gunung Machinchang, all the structural components needed to be lifted to top with helicopters in combination with an auxiliary working cable and then assembled on site one of the major attractions in Langkawi Island, Kedah, Malaysia. It provides an aerial link from the Oriental Village at Teluk Burau to the peak of Gunung Machinchang, which is also the location of the Langkawi Sky Bridge. The overall total length is 2.2 kilometres with a journey time from the base to the top of around 15 minutes and has become one of the most famous attractions in Malaysia.

Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls -

Situated about 1.39 kilometre from Berjaya Langkawi Resort,Telaga Tujuh or Seven Wells Waterfall is named after seven natural pools have been formed at different levels by water streams that flow down the second highest mountain of Langkawi which is Mount Mat Cincang. Seven Wells Waterfall is also located in Pantai Kok area and close to the Pantai Kok Beach and Oriental Village where the Cable Car ride takes place. The total vertical fall is 91 meters and the lowest pool is formed at the bottom. There are two ways of watching the waterfall. If you are adventurous, you can climb and take a quick look of the vertical waterfall or take a short walk up the service road that leads from the car park and take the left turn to reach the bottom of the falls. The entrance to the car park leading to this waterfall is near the famous Cable Car Station. From the car park, you can follow the road until a signboard shows where the right trail climbs steeply up to the actual wells. The left trail will lead to the fall. Visitors are advised to bring essential kits and wear a proper hiking shoes as the rocks can be slippery.
