By Flight
Visitors can go fly to Kota Kinabalu International Airport from Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru from the Penisular and Kuching, Labuan, Lawas, Miri, Kudat, Sandakan, Lahad Datu and Tawau from the East of Malaysi as it is well served by MAS and AirAsia with several flights daily. Some of their international flights also including international flights to and from Brunei, Shenzhen, Jakarta, Manila, Singapore and Taipei.
By Bus
Several different stations around KK serve a variety of out-of-town destinations. There is a bus to Brunei. In general, land transport heading east departs from Inanam (Utara Terminal; 9km north of the city), while those heading north and south on the west coast leave from Padang Merdeka Bus Station.
By Boat
There are ferries departing from Jesselton Point, Kota Kinabalu to Brunei, Pulau Labuan and to Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park.
Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park
Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine park located just off coast of Kota Kinabalu city and consist of 5 Island, namely Gaya Island, Sapi Island, Manukan Island, Sulug Island and Mamutik Island. Simply take the boat services at the Jesselton Point Terminal and choose which island you you would like to go. A wide-range of water activities such as banana boat, sea-walking, para sailing, jet ski to choose from.
Lok Kawi Wildlife Park Kota Kinabalu
This park is mainly a mini zoo along with a botanical garden. It houses an array of tropical animals found only in Borneo, with the inclusion of reptiles, birds and mammals. The unique point of this park is that it is designed around the natural habitat and is a spacious and open space with natural barriers like glass enclosures, camouflaged fences and virtual walls give the visitors a thoroughly fulfilling experience of watching the animals roam about in their natural habitat. Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre
TSepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in the Malaysian Sabah District of North Borneo was founded to rehabilitate orphan orangutans and has 60 to 80 orangutans living free in the reserve. The facility provides medical care for orphaned and confiscated orangutans as well as dozens of other wildlife species. Some of the other animals which have been treated at the centre include; sun bears, gibbons, Sumatran rhinos and elephants.
